Dr. Tang earned his PhD in Material Science and Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2019. Following this, he undertook postdoctoral research in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering under the mentorship of Professor Aaron Thean.   

His research is centered on monolithic 3D electronics using BEOL-compatible materials for post-Moore computing. Dr. Tang has authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, including 11 as first or corresponding author, with publications in high-impact journals such as Nature Communications, IEEE IEDM, IEEE VLSI, and ACS Nano. As a key team member, he led successful grant proposals funded by the Singapore Ministry of Education, a collaborative industrial project with SK Hynix, and a research initiative under the U.S. Semiconductor Research Corporation.
