Mr. Jayasanker Jayabalan received B.Eng (Hons.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and M.Sc, Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer engineering from National University of Singapore. He is a Research Fellow with the National University of Singapore where he focuses on Machine Learning Guided Test and Failure Analysis & Diagnostic Capability Development for Next Generation 3D-IC Packaging Technologies. He possesses over 25 years of industry and research experience in Semiconductor Test Technology. He was a Principal Design Engineer with Avago Technologies, leading Design-for-Test (DfT) development for several of Avago’s Networking ASIC products and thereafter a Research Scientist with IME, leading 2.5D System-In-Package DfT activities. He started his career with National Semiconductors, Singapore, where he was a Test Engineer for NS’s communication and computing products.

Karim Ali Abdeltawwab AHMED

Mr. Karim received B.S. degree in electronics and communication engineering from Fayoum University, Fayoum, Egypt, in 2010, M.S. degree in electronics engineering from American University in Cairo (AUC), Cairo, Egypt, in 2013 and PhD degree in electrical and computer engineering from National University in Singapore (NUS), in 2019. He was a research assistant at Nile University from 2010 to 2011 and American University in Cairo (AUC) from 2011 to 2012. He was a graduate intern at PC client group (PCCG), Intel Cooperation, Oregon USA from 2012 to 2013. He worked as a teaching assistant at Middle East Technical University North Cyprus Campus (METU – NCC) in 2014. He is currently working as a research fellow at electrical and computer engineering department, NUS.
His research interest includes non-volatile memories and logic, computing in memory, low power ADCs, computer-aided design (CAD) for 3D ICs, and field programmable analog arrays IC design.

LEONG Jin Feng

Mr Leong Jin Feng has a Bachelor in Science (Physics) with Honours from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He was awarded the Kent Ridge Undergraduate Scholarship for his undergraduate studies and he was also admitted into the Special Programme in Science, which aims to develop young undergraduate researchers in integrated science research. In this programme, he has undertook research with a scientist from the Centre of Climate Research Singapore on understanding the Sumatra Squall Line phenomenon with the help of weather simulations.
He has also spent two years with Professor Sow Chorng Haur from the Department of Physics in NUS, both as a Final Year Project student and a research assistant. During this period, he was involved in the study of defects and its effects on the optical properties of a two-dimensional material, Tungsten disulfide. In addition, he has also investigated chemical vapour deposition methods and transfer methods of two-dimensional materials.
Currently, he is a PhD student under Professor Aaron Thean. He is working on using two-dimensional materials for development of in-memory devices and neuromorphic computing.

Lucas LUM

Mr. Lucas Lum is a research fellow in SHINE centre. He pursued his doctoral degree from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) from 2019 to 2023. His research focused on on-board electromagnetic shielding using vertically aligned carbon nanotube arrays.
His current research in SHINE centre focuses on magnetic field imaging-based defect modelling of 3D ICs.

Ms. Ma Yuyu received her Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 2021, and M.Sc. degree from NUS in 2022. She is currently a Research Engineer in the Green IC group. Her research interests are analog circuits and architectures based on transistors working in super-cutoff region.

Mohammad AMEEN

Dr. Mohammad Ameen received B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, India, in 2012 and 2014 respectively, and PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dhanbad in 2022. He is currently working as a Research Fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. He received the Young Scientist Award (YSA) at the Union Radio Science General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (URSI GASS-2020), during 29th August to 5th September 2020, held at Rome, Italy. Also, he received the Young Scientist Award at the URSI combined Atlantic/Asia-Pacific Radio Science Conference (URSI AT-AP-RASC 2022), during May 29 to June 3, 2022, at Gran Canaria, Spain. His research interests include the design and development of antenna arrays, conformal antennas, deployable antennas, stretchable antennas, foldable antennas, conformal phased array antennas, circularly polarized metamaterial/metasurface antennas, multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antennas, high-impedance surfaces.

Dr. Murugan Balaji is a research fellow at the SHINE Center. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Physics at Bharathiar University (2017). After his doctoral degree, he worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Physics, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, India (2017-2021). After this, he worked as a research professor in the field of thin film transistor applications at Gachon and Dongguk Universities, South Korea (2021-2023).
His current research work is on the CNT and III-V materials-based flexible TFTs for neuromorphic applications.

Pratisha GANGWAR

Dr. Pratisha Gangwar is a skilled researcher and physicist with a passion for advancing the field of engineering. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree from MJP Rohilkahand University in 2011 and later earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Allahabad with a focus on Quantum Field Theory in 2013. In 2020, she obtained her Ph.D. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where she dedicated her research to exploring the potential of layered materials for energy harvesting.
After completing her Ph.D., Dr. Pratisha Gangwar joined the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics at IIT Delhi, where she contributed to the development of piezoresistive pressure sensors. She then joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay in December 2021, where she worked on the back end of line (BEOL) compatible process development for non-volatile memories.
Dr. Pratisha Gangwar recently joined Prof. Aaron Thean’s Group at NUS in March 2023, where her major responsibility is to develop back-end-of-line compatible processes for 3D monolithic integration for non-volatile memories. Her extensive academic background and research experience make her an accomplished and dedicated researcher in the field of physics and engineering.

Dr. Rakesh Tirupathi is a Research Fellow in Prof. Aaron Thean’s Research Group at the National University of Singapore’
Dr. Rakesh Tirupathi (Member, IEEE) holds a B.Tech. degree from Bapatla Engineering College, India in 2010, and an M.Tech. and Ph.D. degree from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, India in 2012 and 2021, respectively. His research interests lie in in-memory computing circuit design, in-sensor computing circuit design, mixed-signal integrated circuit design, and sensor interfacing circuits. His expertise includes CMOS integrated circuits, capacitance and capacitive sensor measurement, switched capacitor networks, low-pass filters, operational amplifiers, application-specific integrated circuits, buffer circuits, calibration techniques, approximation theory, demodulation, field programmable gate arrays, low-power electronics, microfabrication, microsensors, modulation, square-wave generators, and signal conditioning circuits.

Ruyue WAN

Ms Wan Ruyue is currently a research assistant in Prof. Aaron Thean’s Research group at National University of Singapore (NUS). Her current work focusses on 1 transistor and 1 RRAM (1T1R) device fabrication and evaluation.
Ruyue received her master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from NUS in 2023, where she gained solid knowledge in memristor device mechanisms as well as its fabrication. Her bachelor’s degree was received in Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) in China, where she worked on Molecular Electronics Projects, measuring the electronic performance of self-assembly monolayers (SAMs) and extracting the electronic structure of the junctions.

Sonu DEVI

Dr. Sonu Devi is a research fellow and project leader in Aaron Thean’s Research group at National University of Singapore. Dr. Sonu is a materials science researcher with a focus on the development of novel materials for semiconductor device and related applications.
Dr. Sonu completed her PhD in Physics in 2016 from IUAC Delhi. Her research mainly focussed on ion beam induced defect creation and recovery in semiconductor materials.
After PhD, Dr. Sonu joined NUSNNI Nanocore, National University of Singapore in 2017, where she worked on growth of crystalline oxide thin films using pulsed laser deposition and their transfer on Si substrate for CMOS compatibility. In 2020, Dr. Sonu joined Prof. Aaron Thean’s group at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. Here, her research interests include fabrication of back-end-of-line compatible, advance semiconductor devices for 3-D monolithic integration. Her work has been accepted in leading technology conferences like VLSI, IEDM and EDTM.

Dr. TANG Shiwen is a research fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. She received her PhD degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong SAR, China, in 2023. She received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, in 2016 and 2019, respectively, and the MSc degree from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, U.K., in 2018.
Her research interests include the reconfigurable intelligent surface and flexible antenna designs.

Dr. Wei Jiaqi is a research fellow in the School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Nanyang
Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He graduated jointly from NTU, Singapore and Sorbonne
University, France with a PhD in material science in 2016. During this time, he uncovered the reversible
metal ion desolvation and structural changes during spatially confined electrosorption and pioneered
the research of confined electrochemical energy storage. His current research interests include energy
storage, flexible electronic systems, and confined electrochemistry.

In 2023, Dr. Jiang joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University as a visiting postdoc. Her current research focuses on soft, stretchable electronic devices for human-machine interfaces.
